Is it possible to learn programming ? updated question..?

thanks to all giving me answers of my previous question, i am little afraid of lannguage that's true. actually i am working as a production manager in private coimpany, company is not big enough. now i want to minimize my work load by having softwares straight way i cant hire or my company any professional for this. so i am thinking to learn programming for my future work load and specially it will help me out also in my progress.


sometimes when i see codes it looks like a home of a spiderman.


but i want to learn i like VB 2005. i can design very good way graphically but no coding at all.


so finally i should start with vb 6 or start trying vb 2005.

from my experience with VB, i would recommend u to go ahead and start with VB 2005, it is so easy to learn and very easy when it comes to code writing.





all u will need is to read and learn about how u can do things in VB, don't worry about the user interface, it's drag 'n drop which is sooo easy. For VB2005 u'll find plenty of tutorials online that are written in an easy way.





and if someday u ran into something and u want code examples to try to figure ur way through, u can always search for a code example through the google code search engine : http://www.google.com/codesearch

Reply:Yes it is certainly possible to learn programming and VB6 is an excellent place to start - if you are trepiditious about that, even, try vb script for a couple of weeks first
Reply:best is use foxpro. foxpro is both easy to learn and very good programming language.
Reply:Don't go with VB6 - Microsoft does not sell it anymore, and will not even support it after 2008.





Spare the pain of relearning VB all over again - which you'll have to if you go with VB6 - and just learn the current version.

I won't suggest you to use Visual Basic, even you say it's easy for you.


it's better you download Turbo C++, Turbo Delphi or Turbo C# (from borland). the GUI for all Turbo its similar with VB, just like 'drag and drop' (it's click and click) to design your form.

if you really don't want to make a coding, then you should use Microsoft Access. it's suitable for build a database with complete input form and report without a single coding (mm.. maybe a little coding).





i did not recomended ms Access for other people who want to learn 'The Real Programming Language'
