Is it possible to learn to program in just a few months?

I'm a draughtsman and I've resently discovered a great interest in the internet and computer software programs, I basically want to learn how to program part-time without leaving my work? is it possible? if so how?

Is it possible to learn to program in just a few months?
I would recommend taking an online course. You need to decide what type of programming you want to do and stick with it. Once you have learnt that language, learning other is a lot easier as there are many similarities between them...the trouble with being a novice is that it is easy to mix up the diferences between the languages and get very 'buggy'!

I have used EClasses via the International Webmaster Association and have found them to be excellent courses and great value for money. An introductory course will last about 6 weeks.
Reply:Programming takes a lot of time to learn. It also require lot of Imagination power. But nothing is impossible.
Reply:It depends. Some people can pick up new thing very fast but some don't. Anyway, all the best!
Reply:it would be difficult as programming require lot of practice but not impossible
Reply:Only you have the answer. Same as anything else, if you have the interest and discipline to learn, I don't see why not. Hope I am not sounding too Zen!
Reply:Reading alot of tutorials and of course books, with lots of patience and practice, you can learn any computer programming, I must say when I tried to learn c++ it was quite difficult, Couldn't even comprehend what the code meant.
Reply:ofcourse! just need practice and references.

you also need eagerness and patience
