How do i learn programming?

what languages should i start with? and what websites will be helpful?

How do i learn programming?
Start with C++. (Not C)

Most of the languages keep C++ compatability for easier shift of people from C++ background into their language. EG Java, etc.

(Wikipedia also lists how each of the modern language is and fronm which programming language its derived from.)

If you are totally new programmer but determined you can start with JAVA. But the concept of object etc and OOP jagron sorts of scares the people.
Reply:I would suggest java. It's free. The c, c++ usually takes a development package that costs money. java is lot like c++. there is a world of helpful information out there. Read any of several newsletter groups at google groups for ideas.

The way I started out was with a scripting "language" called Javascript. It is quick to make changes. You can learn programming logic and useful things to do with a web broswer. Don't confuse Javascript with java.
Reply:Hello, I know a programming language that is very easy and user-friendly. Its name is Alice. It is developed by the Carnegie Mellon University in order to aid first-time programmers. It is fun and easy.(only drag-and-drop, don't worry about typing codes) THe main thing is to make an animation using the 3d characters. In order to make the animation, you must implement logical code. This code is supplied to you and you can arrange it to your preference. Find it at the website (I list it below)
Reply:many schools and university suggest learning c++ or clanguage as the basics.
Reply:Start with c,c++,
