It really depends on what you want to learn. First, think about WHAT will you want to code mostly for (games, web, tools, etc...) then pick one of the many programming tutorials available online.

Even if it is for LISP, it will give you a solid understanding of the essential "ingredients" of a software application.

If you are working with microsoft technologies then www.microsoft.com is a treasure. Many of its contents are not free but you can still find large free resources whivh can be helpful. msdn will help a programmer in mny ways. genericaly google is a wonderful site which gives you information in one click.
