About how long does it take to learn the basics of the programming language C# of C Sharp?
Since I am well experienced in C++ and OO programming, It only took me a few days to be up and programming in C#. It has the same syntax and grammar as C++. But I am still learning some of the libraries and every release of .Net adds changes and features. So I am still learning two years later.

Then you will have a free compiler. I know this isn't what you asked but if you open the compiler with the internet hooked up you can navigate from there to the beginner Development Center which guides you through many of the basics. It's extremely easy to understand and as long as you understand basic programming concepts, then you should be able to get through it in 11 hours. However, if you already have a compiler then you could visit:
